Pandas

Pandas, now classified as bears but earlier were thought came from family of raccoons.They feed on bamboo plant's leaves.They are the only bears who lives in temperate forest.The most closely related animal to the giant panda is red panda.
Red Panda: This animal lives in southern Himalayan slopes and in china.Its about 1 m(3.3 ft). At night it feeds on bamboo,birds eggs, chicks and berries. Red panda's cubs can walk when they are about three days old.
Giant Panda: Its height is about 1.5 m(5 ft). It also lives in mountainous rain forest of Asia.It eats about 38 kg(84 lb) every day.
Giant pandas give birth to twins but only one survives. The new born baby is hairless and weights up to 900g-1000g (3-3.5 oz).

Wild Life Animal: Rhinoceroses


Hi Friends

Today I would like to share my knowledge about different species of Rhino.

There are 5 species of rhino. The most aggressive of them is the Black Rhinoceros. The Endangered rhino specie is the white rhino.One of the rhino is found in India. Its name is the great Indian rhino. Both male and female have one single horn. It has been observed that the White Rhino is hunted for its big horn which is used in making the handles of dagger and swords.

The most shy specie of rhino is the Sumatran rhino. Another rare specie is the Javan rhino.

Following are some some species of Rhino:

The Great Indian Rhino: This animal is found in Nepal and India. It is quite animal. It has deep skin folds that look like armour.They are also know as Great one horned rhino.

Javan Rhino: It is very rare animal. The surviving specie are found in reserve of Java.
